Delete your PalCont account
You can delete it directly in the application
- Open Settings → Profile Settings.
- Click Delete account.
- Enter your current password and word DELETE.
- If additional protection is enabled, enter the code from your backup email and PIN.
- Check the consequences and confirm irreversible action.
What stops immediately
Sign-in and normal access to your profile, verified contacts, sessions, devices, settings, and personal content are immediately stopped. The original account password information no longer allows you to log in. Work account data is deleted immediately or no later than 30 days, unless there is another legal basis for a specific category.
What happens to messages
Messages sent to dialogues shared with other users are immediately anonymized: “Deleted account” is displayed instead of the author. The content of messages, publications, comments and associated files is stored only until a mandatory period of six calendar months from the last confirmed reception, transmission, delivery or processing. Removal does not trigger a new six month period.
Minimum information about communications and account deletion is stored for three calendar years. If a user owned a group or channel, ownership is transferred to the admin or another member. Other people's content and the shared space itself are not deleted due to the deletion of one account.
Backups and individual documents
Residual copies of deleted data can be stored in backup copies for no more than seven days and are not returned to the running profile. Financial, contractual and moderation documents are subject to independent legal deadlines.
If you don't have access to the application
Write to palcont@palcont.ru from a verified email or specify PalCont ID and a way to securely confirm account ownership. Do not send password or verification codes.
